Homeroom & Option Change Requests
A great deal of thought, consideration, and collaboration goes into developing class rosters each year. As such, we will not entertain conversations or requests for students to change homerooms. Variables considered when creating classes each year are :

- Student needs
- Academic factors and student assessment data
- Available educational assistant support
- Gender ratios
- Student behaviours
- number of students in class
- student relationship with other students/class chemistry
- input from our counselling team
- data from learning team meetings regarding your child
Can we change my child's option classes?
- Students chose their options in the spring, but we know things change and we are open to listening to them. If they did not choose options, they are assigned options. If they are looking to change their option, they need to talk to their grade level administrator to determine if the request is feasible. Due to large class sizes, it will not be possible to make changes during the school year.
Grade 6 students will enter and exit through the courtyard doors. Grade 7 and 8 students will enter and exit through the main doors at the front of the building.
- Doors will open daily at 7:45pm
- In consideration of the safety of students and staff, the front door will remain unlocked during the day but will others will remain locked. Parents and guests are asked to enter through the main doors and check in at the office.
Students and families will be able to see their timetable on PowerSchool as of 12:00pm on Friday August 29 2025.
Our cafeteria will be open Monday -Friday. There will be a lunch special each day as well as other items that students can purchase. Students are asked to pre-order their lunch at the beginning of each day

Personal devices such as cell phones are not permitted in classes at any time. We strongly encourage them to be left at home. If brought to school, they need to be stored in the student's locker. Click here for our device policy.
